Garden Notes for Early Summer

The balcony planters are doing best with a simple rhythm: water early, trim lightly, and move tender leaves out of harsh afternoon sun.

Checklist

  • Check soil moisture before adding water.
  • Rotate pots once a week so stems grow evenly.
  • Harvest small amounts often instead of cutting large sections at once.
  • Observations

Basil has been happiest near the kitchen window. Mint grows quickly and needs its own container. Thyme prefers the driest corner and should not share a tray with thirstier plants.
