Photo Workflow

Photos are easiest to manage when the import step is boring.

Import

  • Copy the card into a dated folder.
  • Rename files only after the copy finishes.
  • Keep rejected images until the next monthly cleanup.

    • Select

    Pick a small set for sharing first, then do the archive pass later. Mixing those jobs makes both slower.

    Backup

    After the folder is sorted, copy it to the archive drive and update the index file in downloads.
